Grape Hyacinth 'Album'
Muscari botryoides 'Album', commonly known as Grape Hyacinth, is a charming and delicate bulbous perennial, celebrated for its pure white, tightly packed, bell-shaped flowers that resemble miniature bunches of grapes. These pristine blooms emerge in profusion in mid-spring, creating a striking contrast against its slender, strap-like, green foliage. This specific cultivar offers a refreshing alternative to the more common blue varieties, bringing a crisp, clean aesthetic to the garden. Ideal for naturalising in rock gardens, at the front of borders, under deciduous trees, or in containers, it thrives in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Hardy and incredibly easy to grow, 'Album' will multiply readily, forming enchanting drifts over time and providing an early food source for pollinators. It is distinct from Muscari armeniacum.
