Eulalia 'Kaskade'

A stunning deciduous perennial grass that forms a large, architectural mound of arching green foliage. In late summer, it produces spectacular, large, pendulous flower plumes that emerge with a rich pinkish-bronze tint before maturing to a shimmering silver-white by autumn. The 'Kaskade' cultivar is particularly noted for the elegant way its flower heads hang, resembling water cascading. It provides excellent winter interest if left uncut, standing tall through frosts. This grass is fully hardy in the UK (H6) and thrives in most well-drained soils, though it prefers a sunny position to reach its full flowering potential. It is an ideal specimen plant for the back of a herbaceous border or for creating a soft screen. Annual maintenance involves cutting the entire plant back to ground level in late February or March before new growth begins to emerge. It is generally pest and disease-free.
