Creeping Maze Flower

A vigorous, low-growing perennial that forms a dense, bright green carpet of tiny leaves. In late spring and early summer, it is covered with a mass of tiny, snapdragon-like flowers that are a pretty lavender-blue with white and yellow markings on the lower lip. This plant is particularly useful in the UK for filling gaps in paving or as a groundcover around stepping stones, as it is relatively tolerant of light foot traffic. Unlike many alpines that demand bone-dry conditions, Mazus reptans actually prefers a soil that remains consistently moist, making it ideal for the edges of a pond or a damp pocket in the rockery. It is hardy to H4 and can spread quite rapidly in ideal conditions, rooting at the nodes as it travels. It is a great choice for providing a lush, green look in areas that might be too damp for more traditional, drought-loving alpines.碎,flowering_months:[
