'Red Jade' is a beautiful weeping crab apple cultivar, grown for its abundant white spring blossoms and attractive, persistent red fruit. It forms a graceful, weeping crown, reaching an ultimate height and spread of 4-5m. Fully hardy (H6), it prefers fertile, well-drained soil in full sun for best flowering and fruiting. In mid-spring, the branches are smothered in single white flowers, followed by small, bright red, cherry-like crab apples that hang like jewels into winter.
