Box Honeysuckle 'Silver Beauty'
Lonicera nitida 'Silver Beauty' is a versatile evergreen shrub that offers a bright, fine-textured alternative to traditional hedging plants. This cultivar is distinguished by its tiny, dark green leaves which are delicately edged with creamy-white, giving the entire plant a shimmering, silvery appearance from a distance. It has a dense, twiggy habit and is very fast-growing, making it an excellent choice for creating a low to medium hedge quickly. It responds exceptionally well to frequent clipping, allowing it to be shaped into very tight, formal lines or even complex topiary. It is hardy (H5) and grows well in most UK gardens, tolerating a wide range of soil types and levels of sun or shade. While it produces tiny, inconspicuous cream flowers in spring, its primary value is its year-round decorative foliage. It is an ideal plant for defining walkways or edges in a formal garden design.
