Box-leaved Honeysuckle 'Lemon Beauty'

Lonicera nitida 'Lemon Beauty' is a charming, small-leaved evergreen shrub that provides a brighter alternative to traditional box hedging. It features tiny, oval leaves that are dark green with a bright, luminous yellow margin, giving the entire plant a golden glow. Its habit is dense and bushy, making it ideal for low hedges, path edging, or topiary. It is much faster-growing than Buxus, allowing it to establish a finished look quickly, though it does require more frequent trimming to keep it neat (typically twice or three times a year). It is very hardy (H6) and adaptable to most soil types, though it prefers a moist but well-drained site. While it can grow in partial shade, the golden variegation is most intense in full sun. It produces inconspicuous creamy flowers in spring, but these are rarely seen when the plant is regularly clipped. It is a tough, versatile plant that adds a splash of light to any border.
