Alpine Flax

A delightful and airy alpine perennial, Linum alpinum produces a succession of delicate, sky-blue, saucer-shaped flowers, each lasting a day, over a mound of fine, grey-green foliage from early to mid-summer. It typically grows to 15-20cm in height with a similar spread, perfect for rock gardens or scree beds. Fully hardy (H7), it demands full sun and very well-drained, gritty soil. Its subtle beauty is well-suited to a naturalistic alpine planting.
