Spring Snowflake 'Gravetye Giant'
Leucojum vernum 'Gravetye Giant' is a magnificent and elegant form of the Spring Snowflake, distinguished by its notably larger and more robust flowers than the species. Each pristine white, bell-shaped bloom hangs gracefully from an arched stem, with each of the six petal tips distinctively marked with a bright green spot. These enchanting flowers emerge in late winter to early spring, often alongside snowdrops, heralding the arrival of spring. Growing to around 30cm tall, it is perfect for naturalising in moist, humus-rich soil in partial shade, such as under deciduous trees or along woodland edges. 'Gravetye Giant' is a hardy and long-lived bulb, slowly forming impressive clumps and providing a sophisticated and early floral display that is distinct from Leucojum aestivum and Leucojum vernum.
