A compact, aromatic evergreen shrub forms a neat mound of grey-green foliage, reaching about 60cm in height and spread. It is highly valued for its abundant spikes of deep violet-blue, fragrant flowers held on long stems from early to mid-summer. An excellent choice for borders, hedging, containers, or herb gardens in UK, attracting bees and butterflies. It thrives in full sun and poor to moderately fertile, very well-drained alkaline to neutral soil. An RHS AGM holder, it's a reliable and beautiful performer.
