Everlasting Pea 'Pink Pearl'

The 'Pink Pearl' everlasting pea is a robust, herbaceous perennial climber that brings a touch of wild cottage garden charm to any UK space. Unlike the annual sweet pea, it has no scent, but it more than makes up for this with its sheer durability and longevity. It produces large clusters of delicate, clear pink, pea-like flowers on winged stems throughout the summer. It is a vigorous scrambler, using its tendrils to climb up through fences, trellises, or even other sturdy shrubs. Once established, it is incredibly tough and drought-tolerant, making it a good choice for coastal gardens or dry banks. In autumn, the plant dies back to a woody crown, which should be cleared of old stems in late winter or early spring. It will reappear reliably year after year. It can be somewhat invasive in ideal conditions, so it is often best suited to larger, more informal gardens where it can be left to roam slightly. Very attractive to pollinators.
