Pfitzer Juniper 'Carbery Gold'
Juniperus x pfitzeriana 'Carbery Gold' is a fantastic low-spreading conifer that offers a brilliant splash of yellow. It has a graceful, layered habit with branches that arch outwards and downwards at the tips. The foliage is a bright, clear yellow throughout the year, not fading in summer or turning bronze in winter as some other gold cultivars do. It is very hardy (H6) and remarkably tough, tolerating a wide range of soil conditions including poor, dry soils and urban environments. It is an excellent choice for groundcover on banks or for adding a horizontal element to a large border. This cultivar is more compact and slower-growing than the infamous 'Old Gold', making it more suitable for modern gardens. To maintain the best golden colour, it should be planted in full sun. It is a reliable, low-maintenance plant that provides excellent year-round light and texture to any garden design.
Sun: Full sun.
Soil: Any well-drained soil.
