Juniper 'Blue Pacific'
Juniperus conferta 'Blue Pacific' is a superb, prostrate evergreen conifer, forming a dense, spreading mat of steely-blue-green, needle-like foliage with a silvery underside. This makes it an excellent choice for ground cover, rockeries, or cascading over walls in UK gardens. It is a vigorous grower, typically reaching an ultimate height of 0.3-0.5 metres with a substantial spread of 1.5-2.5 metres. This resilient juniper thrives in full sun and prefers well-drained, even poor, sandy soils, demonstrating exceptional tolerance to coastal conditions, drought, and urban pollution. It is fully hardy, rated H7 by the RHS. Its low, spreading habit effectively suppresses weeds and provides year-round colour and texture to the garden landscape.
