Juniper 'Keteleeri'

Juniperus chinensis 'Keteleeri' is a robust and elegant evergreen conifer, forming a medium-sized, broadly conical to pyramidal tree with dense, upright branches. Its graceful habit and rich green, scale-like foliage make it an excellent specimen tree, screen, or hedging plant for larger UK gardens. It can reach an ultimate height of 8-12 metres with a spread of 3-5 metres. This hardy juniper thrives in full sun and is highly adaptable to a wide range of well-drained, even poor, neutral to alkaline soils. It is fully hardy, rated H7 by the RHS, and notably tolerant of drought, urban pollution, and coastal conditions. Female plants produce an abundance of small, glaucous blue berries (cones) which provide winter interest and food for birds.
