Blue Bamboo 'Teagues Blue'

Himalayacalamus hookerianus 'Teague's Blue' is a highly desirable and exceptionally beautiful clump-forming bamboo, cherished in UK gardens for its stunning, slender culms that emerge with a powdery blue-white waxy bloom, giving them an ethereal, almost frosted appearance. This non-invasive bamboo forms an elegant, upright, and gently arching clump, creating a graceful, fountain-like display. It makes a superb specimen plant, where its unique culm colour can be fully appreciated. It thrives in a sheltered position in partial shade with moist, well-drained soil, protected from strong, drying winds which can diminish its waxy bloom. It is reasonably hardy but benefits from winter protection in colder UK regions.
