Rock Rose 'The Bride'
'The Bride' is a stunning white-flowered Rock Rose that is highly valued for its elegant appearance and robust nature. It forms a sprawling, evergreen mound of silver-grey foliage that provides excellent groundcover and year-round interest. Throughout the summer, it produces a profusion of pure white flowers with a central golden eye. Although each individual flower lasts only a day, they are produced in such quantity that the plant remains in bloom for several weeks. In the UK, it is a staple of the rock garden, sunny banks, or the front of a border. It is incredibly drought-tolerant and thrives in poor, well-draining soils, particularly those that are alkaline. After the main flush of flowering, a hard trim will help maintain a neat, bushy habit and may encourage a second, smaller flush of flowers later in the season. It is a very versatile and reliable plant, attracting bees and other pollinators to the garden.
