Ivy 'Gloire de Marengo'
Hedera canariensis 'Gloire de Marengo' is a magnificent large-leaved ivy, often grown for its dramatic foliage. The substantial, three-lobed leaves are a rich dark green, boldly variegated with creamy-white and grey-green, creating a striking contrast that brightens shady corners. While it can climb vigorously, it also makes an impressive ground cover, particularly in larger spaces. It thrives in moist, well-drained soil in partial to full shade. Although less hardy than common ivy, it's suitable for sheltered spots in southern UK gardens or as a strong visual statement in any garden.
