Jewel Plant

Graptopetalum paraguayense, also known as the Ghost Plant or Jewel Plant, is a beautiful and easy-to-grow succulent that forms attractive rosettes of fleshy, pale grey-pink to bluish-green leaves, often with a powdery 'farina' coating. In the UK, it is best grown in containers or hanging baskets that can be moved indoors for winter, or in a frost-free conservatory. It can tolerate some outdoor time in a sheltered, sunny spot during summer. In spring, it produces star-shaped white flowers with red markings. It requires bright light to maintain its best colour and very well-drained soil. Avoid overwatering.

Sun: Full sun.

Soil: Very well-drained gritty compost.

Hardiness: H1C.

Flowering: Apr, May.
