Honey Locust 'Sunburst'
'Sunburst' is a popular thornless and seedless cultivar of the Honey Locust, highly valued for its striking golden-yellow new foliage that gradually fades to lime green. It forms a medium-sized deciduous tree with an open, spreading crown, reaching 10-15m tall and 8-12m wide. Fully hardy (H6), it is very tolerant of urban conditions, drought, and a range of soils, thriving in full sun. The delicate, feathery pinnate leaves provide a bright, airy canopy. An excellent choice for urban gardens, street planting, or as a vibrant specimen tree, holding an RHS AGM.
