Florence Fennel 'Precoce Perfektion'

Foeniculum vulgare var. azoricum 'Precoce Perfektion' is an excellent early-maturing Florence fennel cultivar, prized for its crisp, swollen white 'bulbs' (leaf bases) and aromatic, aniseed flavour. This annual or biennial, typically grown as an annual, reaches a height of 40-60cm with a spread of 20-30cm. It is moderately hardy and can be sown in spring for summer harvests, or in late summer for autumn crops. 'Precoce Perfektion' thrives in full sun with fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Consistent moisture is crucial to prevent bolting, which can lead to woody bulbs. RHS hardiness rating H3.
