Cloud Bamboo 'Deep Purple'

'Deep Purple' is a highly desirable clump-forming bamboo, celebrated for its new culms emerging a stunning deep purple to almost black, maturing to an attractive reddish-brown, offering exceptional year-round colour. It forms an elegant, upright clump, reaching 2-3m in height and 1-2m in spread. This bamboo is fully hardy in the UK (H5) and thrives in partial shade with consistently moist, well-drained soil. Its non-invasive nature makes it ideal for screens, specimen planting, or adding dramatic colour to a mixed border. The vibrant culm colour provides fantastic visual interest, especially when backlit by the sun.
