Cold Hardy Bamboo 'Xian 1'

'Xian 1' is an elegant clump-forming bamboo, admired for its graceful, arching culms and very narrow, delicate leaves, creating a fine-textured appearance. It forms a dense, evergreen mound, growing to 2.5-3.5m in height and 1.5-2.5m in spread. This bamboo is exceptionally cold hardy in the UK (H5) and is well-suited to exposed positions. It thrives in partial shade with consistently moist, well-drained soil. Its non-invasive habit makes it an excellent choice for a low-maintenance screen, a soft backdrop, or as a specimen plant where space is limited. The gentle movement of its foliage in the wind adds a serene quality to the garden.
