Wavy Leaf Bamboo 'Lancaster'

A graceful, clump-forming bamboo with slender, arching culms and delicate, elongated leaves that give it a weeping, feathery appearance. It typically reaches an ultimate height of 2-4m and spread of 1-2m. It is reliably hardy in the UK (H5). Flowering is infrequent. It prefers partial shade in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil, and benefits from a sheltered position to protect its fine foliage from strong winds. Its elegant habit makes it an excellent specimen plant or for providing delicate screening.
