Leopard Plant 'Crispatum'

Farfugium japonicum 'Crispatum' makes a bold and architectural statement as ground cover in moist, shady areas of UK gardens. Often known as the 'Parsley Leopard Plant', this cultivar is highly prized for its crinkled, ruffled, kidney-shaped leaves that are a rich, glossy green. These distinctive leaves form large, lush clumps, creating a tropical effect and providing superb year-round foliage. In autumn, spikes of bright yellow, daisy-like flowers emerge, adding a late-season splash of colour. 'Crispatum' thrives in consistently moist, humus-rich soil and requires partial to full shade to protect its foliage from scorching. It is hardy (H5) if given some winter protection in colder regions, or grown in a sheltered spot, making it ideal for bog gardens or shady borders and containers.
