Copper Beech 'Purpurea'
This stunning cultivar of the common beech is a large, stately deciduous tree, renowned for its dramatic purple-bronze foliage that holds its colour well throughout the growing season. The leaves unfurl a vibrant coppery-red in spring, deepening to a rich purple by summer, before turning shades of red and brown in autumn. It shares the smooth, grey bark and overall grandeur of its parent. Extremely hardy, it prefers well-drained, fertile soil and thrives in full sun, where its leaf colour is most intense. An impressive specimen tree for large gardens and parks.
