Cut-leaved Beech 'Laciniata'
This elegant cultivar of the common beech offers a delicate, finely dissected foliage texture, making it a distinctive specimen tree. Its leaves are deeply lobed and serrated, giving a lacy appearance to the canopy. The foliage emerges fresh green in spring, maturing to a rich dark green by summer, before turning attractive shades of golden-brown in autumn, often holding onto the branches through winter in sheltered spots. It shares the smooth, grey bark of the species. Hardy and preferring well-drained, fertile soil, it thrives in full sun to partial shade.
