Stork's Bill 'Album'

Erodium x variabile 'Album' is a dainty and long-flowering evergreen alpine that is a perfect addition to a trough or a sunny crevice. It forms low, dense mounds of tiny, scalloped, dark green leaves that provide an attractive backdrop for its flowers. From late spring all the way through to early autumn, it produces a continuous succession of delicate, five-petalled white flowers, often with very fine, subtle pink veins near the centre. This cultivar is prized in the UK for its exceptionally long blooming period and its neat, non-invasive habit. It is very hardy but, like many alpines, it must have sharp drainage to survive the winter wet. It thrives in full sun and relatively poor soil, which helps to keep its growth compact. It is an excellent choice for planting in the gaps of a sunny patio or in a dedicated rockery where its subtle beauty can be appreciated up close. It is also quite drought-tolerant once it has become established in its position.碎
