Fairy Foxglove 'Albus,description:'
The white-flowered form of the Fairy Foxglove is a diminutive and delightful short-lived perennial that is perfect for colonising vertical spaces. It forms tiny rosettes of evergreen, notched leaves and produces upright spikes of small, pure white flowers in late spring and early summer. It is arguably at its best when growing out of the mortar in an old stone wall or in the narrowest of cracks in a rockery, where it will happily self-seed and wander without ever becoming a nuisance. It is fully hardy (H5) and remarkably adaptable, growing in both sun and partial shade, though it requires good drainage to thrive. Because it is short-lived, it is important to allow some seed to fall so that new plants can replace the old ones. It brings a sense of delicate, natural charm to the garden and is often one of the first plants to colonise new stone structures or gravel paths.
Sun: Full sun to partial shade碎.
Soil: Well-drained, gritty soil.
Hardiness: H5 — down to −15°C.
Flowering: May, Jun, Jul.
