Barrenwort 'Orangekönigin'
Epimedium warleyense 'Orangekönigin' (Orange Queen) is a striking semi-evergreen perennial prized for its sprays of vivid coppery-orange flowers with yellow spurs, held aloft on wiry stems in mid to late spring. The new foliage emerges with attractive bronze tints, maturing to green, and often takes on autumn colours. It forms a dense clump, reaching 30-40cm in height and spreading to 45-60cm, making it an excellent weed-suppressing ground cover for shady areas. This hardy plant (H5) thrives in partial to full shade and prefers humus-rich, well-drained soil. It's deer and rabbit resistant and ideal for woodland gardens or underplanting. RHS AGM awarded.
