Bishop's hat

Epimedium pubescens, a charming woodland plant, forms clumps of attractive, heart-shaped leaves often flushed with bronze. Delicate, spurred, pale yellow flowers resembling miniature bishop's hats emerge in spring, brightening shady spots. It's a superb groundcover for UK gardens, particularly under trees or in damp, cool positions.

Sun: Partial shade.

Soil: Moist but well-drained.

Hardiness: H7 — below −20°C.
