Bishop's hat

Bishop's hat (Epimedium ilicifolium) is a delightful evergreen perennial, forming neat clumps of spiny, holly-like leaves. It's a superb groundcover for tricky dry shade areas under trees and shrubs, adding year-round interest with its attractive foliage and delicate, spider-like white flowers in spring.
