Coneflower 'Green Twister'
Echinacea purpurea 'Green Twister' is a unique and intriguing coneflower, celebrated for its distinctive bicoloured petals. Each ray petal displays a captivating blend of lime green at the tip, gradually transitioning to a rich rose-pink towards the central dark cone. This creates a fresh and unusual look in the border from mid-summer to early autumn. It forms sturdy, upright clumps, reaching 70-90cm in height and 45-60cm in spread. 'Green Twister' is highly attractive to bees and butterflies and thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, showing good drought tolerance once established. Hardy (H5), it's a fascinating addition to mixed borders and cut flower gardens.
