Intermediate wood fern

This attractive, semi-evergreen fern, native to Eastern North America, forms elegant clumps of finely-dissected, lacy fronds. Its delicate texture and upright habit make it a superb choice for a woodland garden, shaded border, or as a contrasting accent plant in a mixed perennial bed here in the UK.

Sun: Full shade.

Soil: Moist but well-drained.

Hardiness: H5 — down to −15°C.
