Narrow Buckler Fern

Dryopteris carthusiana, the Narrow Buckler Fern, is an elegant native deciduous fern that brings a fine, airy texture to the woodland garden. Its delicately cut, mid-green fronds are narrower and more upright than many other Dryopteris species, giving it a refined appearance. It forms a graceful clump, typically reaching 40-70cm in height and spread. H6 hardy, it thrives in partial to full shade and prefers moist, humus-rich, acidic soil. It's particularly well-suited to damp, boggy or marshy woodland conditions, providing subtle beauty and lush texture.
