African Daisy

Dimorphotheca sinuata, commonly known as African Daisy or Cape Marigold, is a cheerful and vibrant annual that brightens up UK gardens with its striking, daisy-like flowers. These sun-loving plants produce a continuous display of blooms in a range of colours, including bright oranges, yellows, creams, and whites, often with a contrasting central eye. African Daisies are excellent for bedding, containers, and xeriscaping due to their drought tolerance once established. They thrive in full sun and well-drained soil, and while they can tolerate poorer soils, fertile conditions may lead to more prolific flowering. These low-maintenance plants are perfect for adding a burst of continuous colour to sunny borders and rock gardens throughout the summer months. Deadheading is not strictly required but can encourage a neater appearance.
