Tufted Hair Grass 'Schottland'

Deschampsia cespitosa 'Schottland' is a robust and elegant ornamental grass, highly valued in UK gardens for its resilience and graceful displays. It forms dense tussocks of narrow, dark green leaves from which slender stems emerge, bearing airy panicles of purple-tinged flowers in summer that mature to a beautiful golden-bronze. This cultivar is particularly noted for its upright, yet delicate, appearance, adding texture and movement to borders, meadows, or naturalistic plantings. It thrives in a wide range of conditions, tolerating both damp and drier soils, and is exceptionally hardy, making it a reliable choice for diverse garden settings across the UK.
