Carrot 'Paris Market'

'Paris Market' is a delightful, small, spherical carrot cultivar, perfect for heavy or stony soils where longer varieties struggle. These golf-ball sized carrots, typically 3-5cm in diameter, are sweet, crisp, and ideal for containers or raised beds. The foliage reaches about 20-30cm tall with a similar spread. They are best grown in full sun and well-drained, sandy loam. 'Paris Market' is a relatively quick-maturing variety, often ready for harvest in 60-70 days, making it excellent for successional sowing throughout the spring and summer. It's fully hardy (H6) and can be enjoyed raw, steamed, or roasted. Regular watering is key to prevent splitting and to ensure good flavour. A classic heritage variety.
