Carrot 'Amsterdam Forcing'
Carrot 'Amsterdam Forcing' is an early maturing, cylindrical carrot known for its sweet flavour and tender texture. It's an excellent choice for successional sowings and container growing. The foliage typically grows to 20-30cm high, while the roots develop underground to about 12-15cm long. As an annual, it's H3 hardy. Carrots don't typically flower in their first year unless 'bolting'. It thrives in full sun and light, sandy, stone-free soil for straight root development. This variety is particularly good for early harvests and is less prone to 'forking' in heavy soils.
