Dahlia 'Twynings Revelry'

This is a sophisticated Single-flowered Dahlia that is highly attractive to bees and butterflies. The blooms are a striking shade of rich, velvety crimson-red with a distinct dark centre and bright yellow anthers. The foliage is a deep, dark purple-bronze, which provides a dramatic and beautiful contrast to the flowers. This combination of dark leaves and bright flowers is much sought after in modern UK garden design. Growing to around 90-100cm, it is ideal for the middle of a border where its architectural foliage can be appreciated even when it isn't in flower. Like all dahlias, it thrives in a sunny, sheltered spot and needs its tubers lifted and stored dry over the winter months. It is very free-flowering and, because the flowers are single, they are much lighter and less prone to dropping after heavy rain than double varieties. Regular deadheading will ensure a spectacular display all season.
