Dahlia 'Pashmina'

Dahlia 'Pashmina' is a charming Decorative-type tuberous perennial that offers a softer, more romantic aesthetic for the garden. The blooms are a delicate blend of creamy white and soft peach-pink, creating a luminous effect in the evening light. Reaching a manageable height of around 90cm, it fits perfectly into the middle of a herbaceous border alongside perennials like Salvia or Nepeta. In the UK, it is valued for its long flowering period and its ability to withstand typical summer weather better than some of the larger-headed varieties. Cultivation requires a sunny spot and rich soil. As with other dahlias, the tubers are susceptible to rot in cold, wet British winters, so lifting after the first blackening frost is highly recommended. It is a prolific producer of flowers, and the more you cut them for the vase, the more the plant will produce. Its pastel tones are versatile for many garden design schemes.
