Dahlia / Decorative Dahlia 'Great Silence'

Dahlia 'Great Silence' is a beautifully subtle decorative dahlia that is prized for its romantic and sophisticated colouring. The medium-sized flowers feature a blend of soft apricot, muted pink, and warm salmon tones, creating an overall effect that is both delicate and luminous. The petals have a slightly wavy form, adding a soft texture to the blooms. Reaching a height of about 80-90cm, it is a sturdy plant with a good habit, ideal for the middle of a sunny border. As a tender tuberous perennial (H3), it needs to be lifted and stored for the winter in a frost-free place once the foliage has been blackened by the first autumn frosts. It is an excellent variety for cutting, with the warm peach-pink tones working beautifully in late summer bouquets. For the best performance, plant in fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered spot and ensure regular deadheading to encourage the plant to continue flowering until the arrival of winter.
