Artichoke 'Green Globe Improved'

'Green Globe Improved' is a robust and highly productive globe artichoke cultivar, yielding large, fleshy, grey-green flower buds with an excellent flavour. These perennial plants create a dramatic architectural statement, reaching 1.5-2 metres in height and 1-1.5 metres in spread. Impressive thistle-like purple flowers appear if the buds are left unharvested, attracting bees. Artichokes thrive in a sunny, sheltered position and deep, fertile, well-drained soil. H5.
