Himalayan Cypress

An elegant, medium-sized conifer, native to the Himalayas, forming a graceful, broadly conical tree with distinctive pendulous branchlets. It typically reaches an ultimate height of 15-20 metres with a spread of 5-8 metres. The scale-like foliage is dark green, often with a slightly glaucous bloom, creating a soft texture. It produces small, rounded cones. This species prefers well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil and thrives in full sun, appreciating shelter from strong, cold winds. Hardy to H5, it is a beautiful specimen tree for a sheltered position, providing year-round architectural interest.
