Courgette / Summer Squash 'Yellow Rocket'

'Yellow Rocket' is a vibrant F1 hybrid courgette that produces an abundance of bright, golden-yellow cylindrical fruits. It is particularly well-suited for UK conditions, showing excellent vigour and a more open, upright habit than many traditional varieties, which makes the fruits easier to see and pick. The yellow fruits are not only visually appealing but also have a slightly sweeter, nuttier flavour than green courgettes and a firm, creamy flesh. The plant can reach about 60cm in height and width. In the UK, it should be sown indoors in April and planted out in June in a sunny, sheltered spot. It is a 'hungry' plant, requiring soil enriched with plenty of organic matter and regular liquid feeding once it starts to flower. It is tender (H2) and will continue to produce until the first autumn frosts. Regular harvesting of the fruits when they are about 15-20cm long will encourage the plant to keep producing.
