Marrow 'Tender and True'
A classic and reliable bush marrow cultivar, known for producing abundant crops of light green, medium-sized fruits best harvested when young and tender. 'Tender and True' is a compact bushy plant, reaching an ultimate height of 45-60cm with a spread of 90cm-1.2 metres. It is a half-hardy annual (H1C) in the UK, best sown after the risk of frost for harvesting from mid-summer onwards. Large yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers (male and female) are produced, attractive to bees. It thrives in full sun and rich, moist, well-drained soil. A versatile vegetable, ideal for roasting, stuffing, or making chutneys.
