Wire-netting Bush Sunsplash 'Sunsplash'

Corokia × virgata 'Sunsplash' is a unique and architecturally interesting evergreen shrub that is becoming increasingly popular in contemporary UK garden design. Native to New Zealand, it features a fascinating 'zigzag' branch habit and tiny, variegated leaves that are bright green splashed with creamy-yellow. This gives the plant a shimmering, light appearance, making it perfect for brightening up a modern garden. In spring, it produces small, star-shaped yellow flowers that are often followed by orange berries. While it is reasonably hardy (H4) in a sheltered position, it is best suited to the south of the UK or coastal areas where winters are milder. It is very drought-tolerant and thrives in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. It responds well to clipping and can be maintained as a neat, interesting hedge that provides year-round texture and colour. It typically reaches about 1.5 to 2 metres in height.

Soil: Well-drained, sandy or loamy soil.
