Clematis 'Minuet'

Clematis 'Minuet' is a charming and delicate-looking Viticella group Clematis that is tougher than its appearance suggests. It produces a profusion of small, nodding, bell-to-saucer shaped flowers. Each bloom is white with a distinctive broad border of reddish-purple and a central tuft of green stamens. Because it belongs to the Viticella group, it is highly resistant to the notorious Clematis wilt and is very easy to care for. In the UK, it is perfect for growing through large shrubs, up obelisks, or over garden sheds, where it will create a dense veil of flowers throughout the peak of summer. It is a Group 3 Clematis, meaning it should be cut back hard to about 30cm above ground level in February. It is fully hardy (H6) and thrives in most garden soils. The lightness of its flowers allows it to catch the breeze, adding a sense of movement to the garden landscape.
