Japanese Cypress 'Cripsii'

A distinctive, slow-growing conifer, forming an open, pyramidal tree with attractively layered, horizontal branches. 'Cripsii' is highly prized for its brilliant golden-yellow, fan-shaped foliage, which is particularly vibrant on new growth and holds its colour well. It can reach an ultimate height of 5-8 metres with a spread of 3-4 metres, though it is usually much smaller and slower growing in gardens. It prefers moist, well-drained, acidic to neutral soil and thrives in full sun to partial shade. Hardy to H6, it is a magnificent specimen tree, adding a touch of elegance and year-round golden colour.
