Deodar Cedar 'Feeling Sunny'

'Feeling Sunny' is a relatively new and exciting cultivar of the Deodar Cedar, notable for its bright, lemon-yellow needles and spreading, slightly weeping habit. Unlike the species, it stays much smaller and more manageable, making it suitable for modern gardens. The new growth is particularly vibrant, and the plant maintains its sunny disposition throughout the year. It is hardy (H5) but, like all deodars, it appreciates a sunny, sheltered spot away from the coldest winter winds. It requires well-drained soil and is quite drought-tolerant once established. This cedar makes a fantastic focal point, drawing the eye with its luminous colour and graceful, drooping branch tips. It can be lightly pruned to maintain a desired shape or size, though it is best left to develop its natural, elegant form. It is a superb choice for adding light to a dull corner of the garden.

Sun: Full sun.

Soil: Well-drained loam.
