Morrow's Sedge 'Fishers Form'
This refined evergreen sedge is prized for its elegant, arching foliage and striking variegation. Each leaf is bright green with a bold, creamy-white central stripe, creating a luminous effect in shaded areas. It forms a dense, slow-spreading mound that is perfect for ground cover under trees, edging woodland paths, or adding texture to mixed containers. 'Fisher's Form' is particularly robust and holds its colour well throughout the winter. It produces small, inconspicuous yellowish-brown flower spikes in spring. It is extremely hardy (H6) and thrives in moist, well-drained soil, though it is quite tolerant of heavy clay and partial shade. It requires very little maintenance; simply comb through the foliage with your fingers in spring to remove any dead leaves. Its tidy habit and reliable evergreen presence make it a staple for low-maintenance UK gardens. Avoid very dry soils in full sun to prevent leaf scorch.
