China Aster Junior 'Milady Mixed'

The 'Milady' series is a popular choice for UK gardeners who want the beauty of China Asters in a more manageable, compact form. Growing to only 25-30cm tall, these plants produce large, fully double, incurved flowers that resemble chrysanthemums. The 'Mixed' pack offers a bright range of colours including blue, rose, scarlet, and white. They are half-hardy annuals and are particularly valued for their late-summer performance, providing a fresh burst of colour just as many other annuals are beginning to fade. They have a sturdy, bushy habit and are remarkably rain-resistant, which is a significant advantage in the UK. They are excellent for the front of borders and make wonderful, long-lasting bedding plants. China Asters can be prone to Fusarium wilt, so it is best to avoid planting them in the same spot year after year. They also make lovely, short-stemmed cut flowers for small vases.
